Plain English, because terms nobody reads protect nobody. Using stillinplay-golf.com or buying a book means you accept these.

What you're buying

A yardage book for a golf course, generated from public map data and the club distances you give us. You get the digital files: a pocket PDF, a print-at-home layout and a phone edition. Printed books are made to order and shipped.

What you can do with it

Your book is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial use. Print it as many times as you like, for yourself. Play with it, mark it up, put it in your bag.

You may not:

• resell it, or sell prints of it
• publish it, or post the files where they can be downloaded
• use it commercially — caddie programmes, lessons, club merchandise

Buying a book for a friend as a gift is fine. Buying one and printing thirty for a tournament is not — talk to us instead, we'll sort something out.

Accuracy — read this one

Course geometry comes from OpenStreetMap; elevation comes from USGS 3DEP LiDAR. Both are good, neither is a survey. Where the map is missing a feature, the book leaves it out rather than inventing it — so a bunker can exist on the course and not appear on the page.

A book is advice, not a measurement instrument. Every yardage is computed from public data and your own stated distances. Courses change, tees move, and your numbers are your estimate of your own game. Use your eyes and your judgement; do not use a book in competition where the rules require a conforming distance-measuring device.

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any golf course, club or association named in a book or on this site. Course names are used to identify the course and nothing more.

Your numbers

You give us your carry distances. If they're wrong, the plan will be wrong — the engine does what your numbers say. You can correct them any time and rebuild.

Prices, payment and renewals

Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see your card. An annual membership renews yearly at the price you signed up at until you cancel, which you can do at any time — you keep everything already generated.

Refunds

If a book is wrong, tell us and we'll fix it and rebuild it for nothing. If it still isn't right, or a book won't generate for your course, we'll refund you. Ask within 30 days at robbiegerarden@gmail.com. Printed books that have already shipped can only be refunded if they arrive damaged or wrong.

Reviews you write

You keep ownership of what you write; you give us permission to publish it on the site and in our marketing, with your name as you entered it. We may decline to publish anything abusive, off-topic or spam. Your email is never published.

Our stuff

The site, the page designs, the artwork, the wordmark and the engine behind the books belong to Still In Play. The underlying map data belongs to the OpenStreetMap contributors and is used under the Open Database Licence, which is why every book and every page carries that attribution.

Availability and liability

We'll keep the site up, but we don't guarantee it. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything connected to these terms is limited to what you paid us in the previous twelve months. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Dakota, United States.
